Welcome to the Planchart Laboratory. Our research examines the genetic and environmental influences on development and the etiology of human diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).  We utilize a broad range of genomic, informatic, and molecular biology techniques to better understand fundamental developmental processes and how these are perturbed by environmental exposure. Our model system is the zebrafish (Danio rerio). See Research, for more details.
